Fully Carry Out Prevention and Response Work

Bavi Typhoon Red Warning

According to meteorological forecasts, Typhoon Bavi (Super Typhoon) was centered approximately 1,140 kilometers southeast of Keelung, Taiwan at 08:00 on July 9. It is moving northwestward at a speed of 15 to 20 kilometers per hour. It is expected to make landfall or skirt the northern coastal area of Taiwan Island on the daytime of July 11, and make landfall along the coast from Fuqing, Fujian to Wenling, Zhejiang at typhoon or severe typhoon strength overnight. On the afternoon of July 9, Hengxiang Toy Group urgently held a work deployment meeting on typhoon and flood prevention with all management personnel present. The Group activated the typhoon emergency plan immediately and fully launched the typhoon defense campaign.

Typhoon Bavi features high intensity, wide impact and strong disaster-causing potential, leaving no room for negligence. At the deployment meeting, Xiang Shiping, Chairman of Hengxiang Toy Group, emphasized that all departments must fully recognize the grim situation, overcome complacency and fluke mentality, and take typhoon and flood prevention as the top priority of current work safety.

The meeting stressed that all departments of the Group shall assign responsibilities to specific posts and individuals in accordance with the flood prevention plan to ensure command and response in case of emergencies. All departments shall quickly organize staff to conduct full-coverage inspections of their respective areas, focusing on checking the stability of factory doors and windows, smoothness of roof drainage, and water retaining and drainage capacity of low-lying zones. Identified hazards shall be rectified on site without delay. Meanwhile, outdoor stored materials and equipment shall be reinforced or relocated in advance to minimize potential losses.
